In our fourth retro review of Sliders, Damon and Mike are joined by Lisa to review “Fever” (originally aired as 1×02).

FANDOM ENTANGLEMENT is back for the fourth in our series of retro reviews for SLIDERS. This time, we’re taking a look at Season 1, Episode 2 (a.k.a. Episode 4 in story continuity order), “Fever” (original airdate: March 29, 1995 on Fox). When Wade is infected with a deadly virus on an Earth wracked by an epidemic, Rembrandt and Arturo race to find a cure and free Quinn from a Gestapo-like health agency.

This episode was written by Ann Powell & Rose Schacht and directed by Mario Azzopardi.

Co-hosts Mike Bloxam & Damon Sugameli are joined by Special Guest Lisa Hollifield (Phantom of the Broadgrass, formerly The Wolf and The Storm). Together, we explore one of the show’s more popular and darker episodes through the lens of living in a post-Covid world and the all-too-real sense of paranoia that came with it. Damon has very fond memories of this one and considers it one of his all-time favorites, while Mike and Lisa tear apart some of the more nonsensical aspects of a world without penicillin. Is Damon just looking at this episode through rose-colored glasses? Hope you enjoy our analysis and review!
